January 2026: A Bonelli's Eagle (first country record) and six Great White Pelicans sattracked to Chad
24 Jan 2026 [JBr]A Bonelli's Eagle, tagged as a nestling in Palestine near Jerusalem in 2025 and moving between Sudan and NE Chad in Dec 2025, is the first record for Chad. Per Asaf Mayrose and Ron Efrat. At the same time six Great White Pelicans from a breeding colony in the Danube Delta in the Ukraine and tagged in Israel, all spent the winter of 2025-2026 in various parts of Chad.
